On the Behavior of Mn - Dispersoid on Plastic Deformation in Al - Zn - Mg Alloy

Abstract
This study was designed to investigate the nonshearable behavior of Mn-dispersoid in Al-Zn-Mg alloy. In order to examine whether Mn-dispersoid behaved nonshearable or shearable, the Bauschinger stress was obtained on the first hysteresis loop by low cycle fatigue test. Comparing our results with other`s Mn-dispersoid dispersed in Al-Zn-Mg alloy was found to be the nonshearable particle. It was thought that these results could be certainly explained by the modified Orowan mechanism for the Bauschinger effect.
