In situ observation of antiphase domain boundary on the ordering process in CuAu thin film was made by transmission electron microscopy. At 320℃, in CuAuII stability range, antiphase domains are nucleated in CuAu I phase and grow along[100 or [010] directions. In CuAu II phase which involved a antiphase domain with two orientation variants, a large domain absorbed a small one in order to eliminate the lattice strain of interface. At 270℃, in CuAu I stabilty range, domain boundaries disappear with the reduction of domains. The diffuse character of the periodic antiphase boundaries is discussed in comparsion with a high resolution image showing the nucleation and growth of antiphase domain. |
