Abstract
A bell-less top has been installed for the second campaign of Pohang No.2 Blast Furnace (working volume 2550㎥) for the first time in POSCO. In consideration of its high flexibility in controlling burden distribution in the furnace, this experiment was performed using a full scale model before blowing-in. Various tests were carried out in order to secure a burden distribution technique and the results have been applied to the actual operation.
